Staff Software Engineer, YouTube Shopping Platform

This role is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a detailed understanding of YouTube Shopping and collaborate with cross-functional partners to support strategic business priorities.
- Guide the team in producing robust end-to-end technical designs and translate product requirements into implementation plans.
- Participate in design, code, and launch reviews to ensure high-quality features.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with other YouTube Shopping Team Leads and engineering teams.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- 3 years of experience in a complex, matrixed organization.
