This role is based in Mountain View, CA or Cambridge, MA.
Compensation:
$207,000-$300,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Responsibilities:
- Implement full-stack protections for the Search product family, primarily in Java with some JavaScript and C++.
- Perform data analysis to understand unauthorized access patterns and potential solutions.
- Participate in technical designs, sprint planning, and roadmap discussions.
- Contribute to a positive team culture, including feedback to help the team iterate on team values and norms as we scale up.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 5 years of experience building software for data privacy or security.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience with anti-abuse or security using Google or industry-equivalent technologies.
