Staff Software Engineer, Quality, Shopping Agent

This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA or Kirkland, WA.

Compensation:

$197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions.
• Lead the definition and execution of quality metrics for the shopping agent, ensuring response accuracy, safety, and brand alignment across multimodal interactions (text, voice, image).
• Collaborate with research and modeling teams to optimize foundational models and reduce hallucinations.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and building scalable test automation frameworks.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience launching and maintaining high-availability consumer-facing AI products.
