Staff Engineering Manager, Security Engineering

This role is based in Munich, Germany.
Responsibilities:
- Manage an established team of five software engineers, overseeing their coaching and career development.
- Define and execute the team's outlook and roadmap for securing Google's third-party dependencies.
- Grow technical talent to develop innovative solutions for securing OSS dependencies.
- Build partnerships with teams in Google's Software Supply Chain Integrity program and collaborate with industry and academia.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, with 2 years in a people management role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in a matrixed organization.
- Experience in security or privacy.
- Excellent critical thinking skills.
