Staff Engineering Manager, Security Engineering

This role is based in Munich, Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Manage an established team of five software engineers, overseeing their coaching and career development.
• Define and execute the team's outlook and roadmap for securing Google's third-party dependencies.
• Grow technical talent to develop innovative solutions for securing OSS dependencies.
• Build partnerships with teams in Google's Software Supply Chain Integrity program and collaborate with industry and academia.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, with 2 years in a people management role.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in a matrixed organization.
• Experience in security or privacy.
• Excellent critical thinking skills.
