About the job:

As a Software Test Engineer, you will write scripts to automate testing and create tools for developers. You will work with a large codebase to identify issues and enhance the quality of Google's products.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize or develop automation tools or scripts to improve product and engineering health.
  • Develop test plans and conduct reviews with engineers.
  • Define test frameworks and reporting functions.
  • Improve or create test infrastructure to enhance efficiency.
  • Participate in product design reviews with stakeholders.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in coding, developing test methodologies, and debugging.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in specialized testing.
  • Experience with automated fleet management and hardware development.
