Software Engineering Manager, Container Optimized Operating System

This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Compensation:

$207,000-$300,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Establish and implement a long-term technical goal for the COS space.
• Identify systemic bottlenecks in the development lifecycle and implement automation frameworks.
• Guide a team of engineers, providing coaching and mentorship.
• Orchestrate project roadmaps and resource allocation.
• Act as a primary partner for core infrastructure teams.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience with large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
• 2 years of experience in a people management role.
• Experience with container runtime environments and operating systems.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 3 years of experience in a structured organization.
