Software Engineer, YouTube Trust and Safety

This role is based in Zürich, Switzerland.
Responsibilities:
- Address complex challenges from YouTube's growth and the rise of GenAI-generated abusive content.
- Focus on Machine Learning and Graph Mining to advance video enforcement logic and optimize next-generation classifiers.
- Implement and prototype solutions based on research to detect current issues and anticipate future violative trends.
- Manage the entire engineering process, from data analysis (SQL/Python) and model experimentation to productionizing and maintaining graph-based solutions.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- Experience with Graph Mining models, Machine Learning.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- Experience in applied machine learning and graph mining at scale.
- Excellent pragmatic and collaborative mindset.
- Passion for ensuring a positive and safe user experience on YouTube.
