Software Engineer, Laptops and Tablets, Android

This role is based in Sydney, NSW, Australia.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver Artificial Intelligence (AI) and intelligent features in Android, focusing on end-to-end experiences from front-end development to advanced modeling and back-end implementation.
• Work on client integration including Operating System (OS)-level integration, Application programming interface (API) development, lifecycle management, and back-end communication.
• Collaborate with other team members and the product team to scope, plan, design and launch new features in the Intelligent System Experiences team across Android.
• Work with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) partner teams across Android to help them integrate their features.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Python, C, C++).

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• 1 year of experience in developing Android applications or Android OS.
• Experience with general AI and Machine Learning methods.
• Experience in working on projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
