This role is based in London, UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze key performance metrics such as scroll jank, power consumption, rendering framerate, memory usage, page load time, etc.
  • Identify, design and implement optimizations in Chrome/WebView/V8/Android.
  • Build tools and processes to scale performance optimization efforts.
  • Collaborate with Android and Chrome teams on performance analysis and optimization.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
  • 2 years of experience with computer architecture, performance analysis, and performance modeling.
  • Experience in C++.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience with Linux Kernel.
  • Experience with compilers.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience with CPU Scheduling.
