This role is based in London, UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on full-stack development within Wear OS, contributing to new features.
  • Collaborate with other teams in Google’s watch software ecosystem.
  • Build tools, tests, utilities, and telemetry.
  • Improve Wear OS quality by fixing bugs found during development and user trials.
  • Work cross-functionally to enable Google services on watches.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in Java, C/C++, Rust, Python, Go or similar.
  • 2 years of experience with Android application development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Experience with Android framework development and building full-stack Android applications.
  • Experience with microcontroller or embedded systems architectures.
  • Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
