Software Engineer III, Mobile (iOS), Google Photos Foundations

This role is based in Mountain View, CA, where you will influence the engineering vision for Google Photos mobile apps.

Compensation:

$147,000-$211,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Develop product or system code.
• Build out the future of the Photos iOS core data layer.
• Implement data APIs that power all UIs and features.
• Help scale core systems to meet user needs.
• Build and improve on-device AI processing and storage infrastructure.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 2 years of experience with iOS application development.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with Swift programming language.
• Experience with data querying (e.g., SQL).
• Interest in optimizing performance and latency.
