Software Engineer III, Mobile (Android), Google Play

This role is based in Mountain View, CA.

Compensation:

$147,000-$211,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Develop premium app installation experiences for new form factors and industry-defining features.
• Scale client-side infrastructure for high-reliability downloads across the Android ecosystem.
• Drive a metrics-driven strategy to enhance install reliability.
• Collaborate across various product areas at Google to lead feature development.
• Ship code weekly while adapting infrastructure to diverse user needs.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience programming in Java or Kotlin.
• 2 years of experience in Android application development.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, and debugging.
• Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis, and software test engineering.
