This role is based in Warsaw, Poland.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive technical success for customers by providing expert engineering guidance, troubleshooting, and custom-engineered solutions to overcome scalability and reliability tests.
  • Address the problems of unprecedented scale, improve system reliability, and impact other teams' performance.
  • Utilize expertise to engage and enhance the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (e.g., design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement).
  • Collaborate within and across teams and learn. Work on cloud technologies designed for performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to Google-internal and Open Source (OSS) projects.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks.
  • Experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
  • Experience with debugging or troubleshooting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience in developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience with OSS projects and community collaboration.
  • Experience with ideation and creating technology.
