This role is based in Warsaw, Poland.

Responsibilities:

  • Write product or system development code.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Be responsible for all data and metadata federation aspects and expand BigLake to other clouds.
  • Be responsible for creating a compelling cross cloud data analytics product, working with senior software engineers and project management leads.
  • Influence the roadmap, work with customers & partners, and help with building a strong culture of operational excellence within this new team.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in distributed computing, data analysis, Google infrastructure.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience with open source systems like Apache Iceberg, Spark, etc.
  • Experience working with partners like SAP, Salesforce, or other cloud computing providers.
