Software Engineer II, YouTube, Viewcount and Aggregations

This role is based in Zürich, Switzerland.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality, consistency, and scale for teams across YouTube.
- Develop monitoring and data validation strategies for distributed systems.
- Contribute to the YouTube Metrics Aggregator (YTMAgg).
- Manage processing of billions of daily events for efficient data pipelines.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with software development in languages like Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
- 1 year of experience building large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with data structures or algorithms.
- Familiarity with Server Platform/Pod, Spanner, BigTable, and Flume.
- Ability to thrive in agile environments.
- Understanding of large-scale architecture design.
- Expertise in designing reliable, scalable systems for consumer-facing products.
