Software Engineer II, YouTube Safety

This role is based in Zürich, Switzerland.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and understand gaps in our content understanding.
• Build classifiers for YouTube videos, live streams, and images using various modalities.
• Apply novel machine learning methods to handle Trust and Safety challenges.
• Collaborate with Research, Operations, and Product teams.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience implementing core ML concepts.

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• Experience with Machine Learning (ML), Computer Vision and data analysis.
