This role is based in Zürich, Switzerland.

Responsibilities:

  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Write product or system development code; Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
  • Contribute to design, implementation, deployment and maintenance of critical components in the LEAP platform.
  • Develop technical expertise in the field of logging, logs processing or metrics in Google Maps.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages: Go, C++, SQL, Java.
  • 1 year of experience in the field of data analysis and business intelligence.
  • 1 year of experience in large systems design and maintenance.
  • 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
