This role is based in Seattle, WA, focusing on developing applications for AR glasses that enhance user experiences through features like translation and navigation.

Compensation:

$147,000-$211,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Build and launch first-party apps for Android phones paired with next-generation wearables.
  • Ensure XR support feels native to the platform using Kotlin and the Glasses SDK.
  • Collaborate with UX and PM to prototype and test user experiences.
  • Work with other Google teams to integrate features leveraging Google products.
  • Debug and optimize translation quality across the tech stack.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience programming in Kotlin.
  • 1 year of experience in Android development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • 2 years of experience developing Android applications in Java/Kotlin.
  • Experience in iOS development, Bluetooth, or wearables.
