Site Reliability Engineer

This role is based in Sydney, NSW, Australia.

Responsibilities:

• Own availability and performance for some of Google's key products, ensuring a great user experience for global users.
• Support production for Google products related to services.
• Design solutions to enhance robustness against failures.
• Scale and support to manage evolving product features.
• Provide tools, training, and consultation to development teams.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in C++, Java, or Go.
• Experience in troubleshooting and debugging distributed systems.
• Understanding of distributed computing systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
