Senior Software Engineering Manager, Site Leads, Pixel

This role is based in Warsaw, Poland.

Responsibilities:

• Grow Poland sites through talent recruitment, evolving sites and space, fostering Google and Pixel culture.
• Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals. Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
• Develop the long-term technical goal and roadmap within, and often beyond, the scope of your teams. Evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.
• Collaborate with leads to ensure collective unity and the consistent delivery of high-quality products and services across all distributed teams.
• Lead the objective of expanding new Pixel Software teams in Poland by developing new Team Leads and Technical Lead Managers.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development.
• 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
• Experience managing organizational strategy and development.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5 years of experience working in a matrixed organization.
• Experience in development, testing and deployment of Android Board Support Packages (BSP), Linux device drivers or Linux kernel modules.
• Experience in embedded development, or a passion for embedded systems and launching consumer-facing hardware products.
