Compensation:

$248,000-$349,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the technical strategy for software systems managing Alphabet's ML fleet.
  • Collaborate with engineering partners to deliver solutions across Google.
  • Identify and solve challenges impacting the efficiency and reliability of the ML fleet.
  • Drive improvements in metrics such as utilization and scheduling efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8 years programming experience in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go.
  • 5 years in a technical leadership role.
  • 5 years in people management.
  • 3 years in designing and troubleshooting distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in a related field.
  • Experience with Google storage systems and infrastructure optimization.
  • Familiarity with ML hardware accelerators and resource management systems.
