Senior Software Engineering Manager, Dataproc, Google Cloud

This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Compensation:

$262,000-$365,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership for engineering organization, driving the roadmap for Spark and Lake House architectures.
• Architect global-scale Data Lake solutions integrating open-source standards.
• Foster a culture of technical innovation and excellence.
• Direct integration of AI and Machine Learning workloads into Dataproc offerings.
• Oversee talent development and resource allocation across teams.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• 5 years in a technical leadership role.
• 5 years in people management or team leadership.
• Experience with Apache Spark and Data Analytics.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in a related field.
• 10 years of experience with executive managers.
• Experience with Google Cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of open-source data analytics technologies.
• Familiarity with Data Lakes and Lake houses.
