Senior Software Engineering Manager, Capital Markets Technology

Responsibilities:
- Lead and scale a high-performing engineering organization responsible for the core platform architecture of the Google Cloud Universal Ledger.
- Drive the technical strategy for transitioning traditional financial infrastructure to cloud-native, distributed architectures.
- Advocate engineering excellence and developer velocity by building platform tooling and automating delivery pipelines.
- Partner with Product Management and external stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps.
- Oversee the implementation of critical security and governance frameworks required for banking-grade infrastructure.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 8 years of software development experience.
- 5 years in a people management or team leadership role.
- 5 years in a technical leadership role.
- Experience in regulated industries or managing high-volume transactional systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- 15 years of software engineering experience with significant team management.
- Experience influencing executive stakeholders and defining technical strategy.
- Expertise in architecting and scaling public cloud platforms using containers and service mesh technologies.
- Expertise in security engineering within distributed systems.
- Proven track record of leading migration strategies to cloud-native architectures.
