This role is based in Warsaw, Poland.

Responsibilities:

  • Model strong technical leadership for the broader BigLake organization.
  • Work with storage, networking, and analytic engine leads to create a technical roadmap for cross cloud analytics.
  • Build, mentor, and empower an engineering team, fostering a culture of operational excellence, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Work with Product Managers to create a comprehensive product that aligns to this roadmap.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with programming languages such as Java, C/C++, or Python.
  • 7 years of experience building large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
  • 5 years in a technical leadership role overseeing projects.
  • 5 years in a people management role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in a cross-functional organization.
  • Experience with open source technologies.
  • Experience in building a new team.
