Senior Software Engineer, Transparency Surfaces and Policy Sites

This role is based in Munich, Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Implement end-to-end features while working closely with product and design.
• Research, design and build AI support for end user experiences.
• Design and build an expandable infrastructure for central transparency surfaces.
• Invest actively in improving the overall architecture and setup of systems managed by the team.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience in programming with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• 3 years of experience programming in Java.
• 1 year of experience with GenAI or AI agents.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience in designing and building reusable/extendable UI frameworks.
• Experience with low-level operating systems.
