Responsibilities:

  • Write and test product or system development code.
  • Lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide on available technologies.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
  • Design, development, and maintenance of software systems essential for planning and constructing Google's Global Network (GGN).
  • Work on back-end design and development. Contribute to front-end development, focusing on languages like C++, SQL, Angular, and JavaScript.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience in developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience in developing accessible technologies.
