About the job:
YouTube Marketing Data Science, Infrastructure and Analytics (DSIA) is an analyst team that influences and informs YouTube’s marketing and products teams. This role will lead a team that drives full stack measurement and insights for YouTube shopping and creator marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of business data scientists and analysts in delivering project work including implementing data science solutions, improving data pipelines, developing evaluation metrics, or building statistical models.
- Embed with marketing leadership to understand high-level goals and translate those into data science priorities.
- Design experiments and use causal inference to measure effectiveness of models and programs.
- Drive internal visibility and opportunities for the team, define team strategy, and remove technical blockers.
- Build a collaborative team culture and develop team members through coaching.
Minimum qualifications:
- Master's degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent experience.
- 9 years of experience using analytics to solve business problems.
- 5 years of experience as a people manager in a technical role.
- Experience in causal inference, A/B testing, and statistical modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python programming.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with causal inference or Bayesian statistics.
