As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program or project management.
- Experience leading commercial negotiations and managing supplier relationships.
- Experience managing global indirect categories, specifically professional services, warehousing (e.g., automation, real estate, etc.), or Third-Party Logistics (3PL)/Logistics.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Demonstrated experience building and implementing new category management processes and frameworks from the ground up.
- Deep expertise in developing multi-year category strategies, including supplier segmentation, market analysis, should-cost modeling, and supplier performance management.
- Ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects and influence executive-level stakeholders in a dynamic organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and document a comprehensive multi-year category and sourcing strategy, utilizing structured methodologies and tools to align with Google Cloud’s long-term goal.
- Lead the execution of all strategic sourcing initiatives for your category, including RFx and direct negotiation development, execution, and supplier selection.
- Translate long-range demand signals and business cases into actionable strategic plans that deliver competitive advantage, resilience, and value.
- Serve as the undisputed relationship owner for a portfolio of strategic suppliers, managing all commercial aspects and acting as the single point of contact to orchestrate a cohesive one voice approach.
- Lead complex, high-stakes negotiations to establish exceptional commercial constructs, moving beyond legacy pricing models to drive innovation, efficiency, and productivity gains.
