Optical Validation Engineer, Google Cloud

This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Compensation:

$108,000-$153,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Support test development for new and existing optical product designs.
• Develop and automate optical test instrumentation using Python.
• Operate wafer probe stations and conduct high-frequency measurements.
• Analyze and troubleshoot hardware/software issues for optical transceivers.
• Maintain lab infrastructure and manage equipment.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 1 year of experience in optical transceivers and testing.
• Experience with lab test and measurement instrumentation.
• Experience with compute and networking systems.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and lab test automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of wafer-level and chip-level probe testing.
