We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.Google Play Games multi-year plan is driving substantial growth in the business by building the tools, experiences, and infrastructure to supercharge gaming for users and developers. We're moving with speed, enhancing the team’s creativity and capabilities with the Google’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure, tools, and services, and driving a culture of innovation and team empowerment.Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
- 5 years of experience in taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools or product development.
- Experience in gaming, game design, or the gaming industry.
- Experience with working in multi-sided marketplaces, user and developer services.
- Experience in building and scaling global consumer products.
- Excellent narrative, storytelling, internal and external communications skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead a focused cross-functional team in quickly prototyping, testing, building, and launching a brand-new experience for gamers.
- Be the single point of accountability from concept to launch, landing, and scaling.
- Lead with urgency through deep technical and cross-functional ambiguity with positivity. Bring the energy every day to turn "maybe" into "ship it."
- Architect a global product strategy and influence executives and stakeholders around it. Orchestrate global impact, and own syncs to drive delivery, spanning time zones.
- Use and advocate for the latest tools, processes, and culture for the team’s speed and keep the products on the leading edge of what's possible.
