Compensation:

$207,000 - $301,000/year + 20% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the technical roadmap for Spanner’s search capabilities.
  • Engage with key customers to understand their use cases and ensure smooth adoption.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams including Product Managers and SRE.
  • Communicate effectively with executive stakeholders.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience in a people management role.
  • Experience with vector search or query processing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with large-scale search systems or vector databases.
  • Understanding of database engine internals.
  • Track record of navigating architectural trade-offs.
