Responsibilities:
- Oversee the team designing and developing GCP’s highly available, massively scalable PostgreSQL database.
- Define and build the blueprint for next-generation relational offerings.
- Empower customers with a fully managed platform that removes operational overhead.
- Anticipate market shifts and solve critical technical challenges.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 8 years of experience in administering Postgres or other databases.
- 3 years of experience in people management.
- Experience in designing performance-intensive systems.
- Experience in building managed services in database or storage.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with complex database infrastructure design.
- Experience in system design for scalable infrastructure.
- Experience in coding with C++ or Go.
- Understanding of PostgreSQL architecture.
