Compensation:

$197,000-$291,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of engineers focused on designing, implementing, and analyzing low-level computer systems and their interactions with the kernel and hardware.
  • Drive team's technical charter and contribute as a tech lead/manager; collaborating with partner teams across Google.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Experience with system software and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with the Linux kernel interface and containers.
  • Excellent C/C++ programming skills and data analysis skills.
