Engineering Manager, BigQuery BeyondSQL

This role is based in Kirkland, WA.

Compensation:

$207,000-$300,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Drive design and execution of high-performance components within BigQuery’s execution engine.
• Improve price-performance and scale of the engine.
• Partner with infrastructure and product teams to shape analytics experience.
• Foster a collaborative team culture and mentor engineers.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of software development experience in languages like Python, C++, Java.
• 3 years in technical leadership roles.
• 2 years in people management.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in a technical field.
• Experience in developing SQL relational databases or large-scale distributed systems.
