Engineering Manager, BigQuery Advanced Analytics

Compensation:

$207,000-$300,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a multi-year technical roadmap for BigQuery's extensibility platform.
  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of high-impact features, from design to global availability.
  • Drive the technical vision for expanding engine capabilities to support hybrid compute workloads.
  • Oversee production stability and performance of the extensibility layer.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • 2 years of experience in a people management role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Experience with the Python data science ecosystem and distributed data processing frameworks.
  • Domain expertise in database and data analytics systems.
