Embedded Software Engineer III, Pixel Watch System Software

This role is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and support Pixel Watch system software engineering efficiency tools and automation.
• Solve unique problems to ensure products are worth launching by focusing on user journeys and experiences.
• Drive focus on power, performance and battery life to improve software quality and stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to propose and deliver new changes and features to WearOS/Android.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in C / C++.
• 2 years of experience working with Android domain, embedded processors or Linux kernel.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 5 years of experience with Android domain, embedded processors, Linux kernel.
• Knowledge of Microcontrollers, SoC, device drivers, and hardware/software integration.
