Developer Relations Engineer, Google Maps Platform

This role is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with the developer community through meetups, conferences, videos, and online forums.
• Create and launch technical content, including open-source sample applications and tutorials.
• Support global product launches by providing technical feedback on APIs/SDKs.
• Advocate for developer needs by gathering feedback and influencing product direction.
• Develop expertise in Google Maps Platform APIs and related technologies.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in professional software development.
• Experience with programming languages like JavaScript, Kotlin, Swift, Python, or Java.
• Experience engaging with technical audiences.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Google Maps Platform APIs or geospatial technologies.
• Experience leading or contributing to a developer community or open-source project.
• Experience in mobile application development.
• Ability to create technical content and deliver talks at conferences.
