Our Data Center Engineering team takes the physical design of our data centers into the future, and our technicians, engineers, and support teams bring ideas to life. As a Data Center Technician Intern, you'll be a key part of the Data Center team, gaining experience by helping with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware, including servers and their components, as well as server software like Google's Linux cluster. You'll learn how to configure and manage network components such as routers, hubs, bridges, and switches. Additionally, you will be involved in manual movement and rack installation of equipment and may even have the opportunity to participate in or lead small project teams on larger installations. This internship is a fantastic opportunity to build a solid foundation in data center operations and network infrastructure.

This internship is intended for students enrolled in an educational program relevant to the job qualifications or those in the penultimate/final year of an accredited full-time Bachelor's or Master's degree program located in the EMEA region. Participation in the internship program requires that you are located in the UK for the duration of the internship program. Interns will be required to be available to work full-time for a minimum of 13 weeks over the Summer 2027 (starting in May, June or July) for the duration of the program. Individuals applying for this position will not be eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Timing on when you can hear back will vary and can take upwards of 90+ days. Minimum qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an educational program relevant to the job qualifications or an accredited full-time Bachelor's or Master's degree program located in the EMEA region.
  • Relevant practical or internship experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting one of the following: operating systems, computer/server hardware, or networking protocols.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Relevant practical to internship experience performing component-level repairs and troubleshooting on IT equipment or in a similar role (e.g. Systems Administration, Network Deployment Engineer, Help Desk Technician, etc).
  • Relevant practical to internship experience working within a data center or network operation center environment.
  • Ability to complete a 13 week full-time internship in the internship location starting either May, June or July 2027.
  • Currently enrolled in your penultimate/final year of education.
