This role is based in Tokyo, Japan.
Responsibilities:
- Manage customer problems through effective diagnosis and resolution.
- Develop understanding of Google's product technology by troubleshooting and building tools.
- Act as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders to resolve technical deployment obstacles.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to improve products and advocate for customer needs.
- Work as part of a global team providing 24-hour support, including non-standard hours.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience in coding (Java, C, C++, Python, etc.) and virtualization frameworks.
- Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in Kubernetes or container networking.
- Familiarity with software-defined networking and network protocols.
- Understanding of operating system kernels and file systems.
