Customer Applications Engineer, Google Cloud, Professional Services, Delta

Location: Atlanta, GA, USA; Austin, TX, USA; Boulder, CO, USA; Chicago, IL, USA

Compensation:

$127,000-$183,000 + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop rapid prototypes and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for Google Cloud customers.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their unique needs and translate technical requirements into solutions.
• Lead and execute rapid iteration methodologies, including Design Sprints and agile approaches.
• Provide technical guidance on best practices for building production-grade software solutions on Google Cloud.
• Travel approximately 30% of the time to customer sites for on-site collaboration.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience designing cloud enterprise solutions.
• 1 year of experience supporting customer projects to completion.
• Experience writing software in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go).
• Experience with deployment of application microservices in cloud environments.

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of experience designing, building, and deploying software systems.
• Experience delivering customer workshops to validate user needs.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Experience with networking technologies and web standards.
• Knowledge of cloud storage solutions and distributed computing technologies.
