Cloud Engineer, Application Modernization, Google Public Sector

This role is based in Reston, VA, and Austin, TX, with responsibilities including transforming enterprise applications into cloud-native solutions and advising on application operations.

Compensation:

$127,000-$183,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Transform existing applications into modern, cloud-native applications.
• Propose and execute modernization approaches, including code development.
• Advise on application scaling, reliability, and ongoing operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of experience in system design or programming languages (Java, C++, Python).
• 3 years of experience in technical troubleshooting and managing partners or customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud solutions and application migration to public cloud providers.
• Ability to engage with executives on technical and non-technical matters.
