Staff Software Engineer - Frontend Telemetry (Remote across ANZ)

This role is based in Sydney, Australia with remote work options available.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of a new frontend telemetry SDK.
• Shape the technical direction of frontend telemetry at Canva.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve measurement and telemetry tooling.
• Build intuitive frontend experiences that surface telemetry insights.
• Drive the rollout of the new SDK across teams.
• Partner with the Reliability Platform team to enhance monitoring and reporting capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and influence cross-group architecture.

Requirements:

• Deep expertise in browser-based frontend telemetry.
• Experience designing systems that provide actionable insights.
• Track record of mentoring and providing technical guidance.
• Ability to drive strategic technical direction.
