Staff Machine Learning Engineer - Integrations & Solutions Group (AU remote)

This role is based in Sydney, Australia, with remote work options available.

What you'll do:

• Drive the design and evolution of AI-ready tools and APIs for LLM platforms.
• Own and evolve evaluation frameworks for measuring tool-use accuracy.
• Shape Canva's agent architecture and make strategic technical decisions.
• Define observability systems for AI assistants' tool consumption.
• Work across teams to identify and solve problems in AI integrations.

You're probably a match if:

• You have experience shipping LLM-powered systems into production.
• You proactively find and solve undefined problems.
• You have built evaluation pipelines end-to-end.
• You set technical standards for others to follow.
• You are proficient in Python and familiar with ML frameworks, TypeScript/Node.js, and cloud infrastructure.
