Senior Frontend Engineer - Video Web Engine (Open to remote across ANZ)

What you’ll do:

• Own high-quality, frame-accurate video and audio playback on Canva’s web platform.
• Design and evolve the core architecture for scalable web playback.
• Build performance-critical systems and drive resilient rendering experiences.
• Lead the adoption of next-generation playback technologies.
• Partner with product and platform teams for shared playback capabilities.

Requirements:

• Deep expertise in JavaScript at a systems level.
• Experience with video, audio, graphics, or game-like systems in the browser.
• Understanding of rendering pipelines and modern multimedia APIs.
• Ability to own ambiguous problem spaces and deliver technical outcomes.
