Senior Engineering Manager - Security Platform Engineering

This role is based in Sydney, Australia.

Responsibilities:

• Manage two small teams of software engineers focused on security.
• Own the strategy and roadmap for both teams, balancing security and developer experience.
• Coach and develop engineers through regular feedback.
• Drive adoption of security systems across Canva engineering teams.

Required Experience:

• Experience managing high-performing teams.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience with languages like Golang, Java, or Rust.
• Experience with cloud-based services and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience in security domains such as application sandboxing or vulnerability scanning.
• Familiarity with infrastructure tools like Terraform and CI/CD systems.
