This role is based in Sydney, Australia with remote options available across ANZ.
Responsibilities:
- Managing two small teams of software engineers who design and implement software to reduce risk.
- Owning the strategy and roadmap for both teams, balancing security and developer experience.
- Coaching and developing engineers through regular feedback.
- Driving adoption of security systems across Canva engineering teams.
Required Experience:
- Experience managing high-performing teams.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with languages such as Golang, Java, or Rust.
- Experience in building and operating cloud-based services.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience in a security domain.
- Familiarity with infrastructure tools like Terraform, Helm, or K8s.
- Experience with CI/CD systems.
