Senior Engineering Manager (BE/ML) - Context & Personalisation

This role is based in Brisbane, QLD, Australia.

What you'll do:

Lead the Context & Personalisation team responsible for tailored AI experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Guide the evolution of Canva’s context platform.
• Define and deliver strategy for personalisation infrastructure.
• Develop AI capabilities such as memory and brand-aware generation.
• Design scalable APIs for internal teams.
• Drive adoption of context capabilities across Canva.
• Grow and develop a high-performing engineering team.

Requirements:

• Experience in engineering leadership and platform systems.
• Strong technical depth with product thinking.
• Experience with AI, machine learning, or data-driven platforms.
• Comfortable in fast-moving, high-ambiguity environments.
• Passionate about developing engineers and building teams.
