Senior Data Scientist, LATAM

This role is based in Austin, TX with a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities:

• Build the Data Foundation for LATAM and create dashboards for user growth, retention, and monetization.
• Define LATAM Data Strategy and set clear targets for success.
• Act as a bridge between local LATAM teams and global functions.
• Craft narratives using data to drive action.
• Proactively identify growth bottlenecks and user behavior shifts.
• Support product initiatives and A/B testing in LATAM markets.

Requirements:

• Strong SQL and data wrangling skills with experience in large datasets.
• Familiarity with Canva’s data stack (Looker, Snowflake, Mode).
• Experience in building dashboards and tracking frameworks.
• Ability to define and track key metrics across user journeys.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills.
• Experience in LATAM markets or global markets.
• Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
