This role is based in Sydney, Australia with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and scale backend services supporting video AI infrastructure
  • Develop robust APIs and pipelines for video model inference
  • Optimize systems for latency, reliability, and throughput
  • Collaborate with MLEs, Researchers, and Product teams
  • Ensure observability and smooth operations of video services

Requirements:

  • Experience building and scaling distributed backend systems
  • Strong programming skills in a backend language (e.g., Java, Go, Python)
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP)
  • Exposure to machine learning workflows or serving systems
  • Strong collaboration skills and a growth mindset
