Principal Front-End Engineer - Web Platform

This role is based in Sydney, Australia, with a hybrid working model allowing for remote work and in-person collaboration.

What you'll do:

• Own the technical direction for the web platform, including architecture for server-side rendering and React Server Components.
• Drive performance improvements to achieve sub-two-second first page load times.
• Influence frontend engineering practices across the organization.
• Remain hands-on with coding and contribute to the codebase.

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of React internals and performance at scale.
• Experience with server-side rendering and React Server Components in production.
• Strong individual contributor with a track record of influencing organization-wide technical decisions.

Technical knowledge:

• Proficiency in TypeScript and frontend-backend communication.
• Experience with performance measurement and offline resilience strategies.
